Job Summary:

Georgia First Bank is seeking an outgoing, professional, hardworking Bank Teller to join our team in Dublin, Georgia. Our tellers are crucial to our operations, providing the first impression of the bank to our customers and playing a key role in their banking experience. This position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering top-notch customer service while efficiently handling transactional duties.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers promptly and providing friendly, efficient service to ensure a positive banking experience.
  • Answering customers' questions about their accounts and bank services.
  • Assisting customers with account management, including helping with account balances, transaction history, and service charges.
  • Conducting various financial transactions for customers, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Cashing checks after verifying the signature and ensuring sufficient funds are available in the customer's account.
  • Counting, verifying, and managing cash drawer amounts at the start and end of shifts to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Ensuring all cash transactions are balanced at the end of the day against receipts and the bank's computer system.
  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell or recommend banking products and services that fit the customer's needs.
  • Cross-training in other areas of the Banking Center to provide comprehensive assistance and support to customers.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Cash Handling Experience in retail/sales is required to indicate capability in managing transactions accurately.
  • Previous Teller Experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of banking software and applications used for transactions is preferred.

 

Personal Attributes:

  • Professional Communication and Interpersonal skills to represent Georgia First Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees is required.
  • Excellent Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and keep transactions and documents in order.
  • Time Management Skills to efficiently handle peak times and manage customer waiting times effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities to address and resolve customer issues or discrepancies in accounts.
  • Attention to Detail is critical for ensuring accuracy in all transactions and documentation.
  • Integrity, and Trustworthiness is essential in handling sensitive financial information and cash.
